2. AI limitations
AI models can make mistakes, misinterpret visual features, or produce inaccurate results (commonly referred to as “hallucinations”). The AI may identify the wrong species, type, or item altogether, misstate characteristics, origin, history, or uses, or describe something that is not in the photo at all. Photographs alone are often insufficient to distinguish visually similar toys and collectibles, and lighting, angle, focus, scale, and background all affect what the model can see.
