Rarity & Significance
Highly significant as the very first display stand for the vintage line. While common in 'complete-in-box' sets, finding them loose with intact stickers and the original cardboard backdrop is much rarer. In its current state, it has moderate collector interest primarily for parts or as a restoration project.
Special Features
Includes 12 rotating figure discs and 3 lever controls to move the figures. Original versions originally came with a colorful 'Star Wars' logo cardboard backdrop.
Notable Variations
There are minor mold variations and date stamp differences on the underside. Later versions of display stands were released for subsequent movies (Empire Strikes Back), but this 12-hole version is specific to the original 1977 movie line released in 1978.
